He is a professional tenor and musical theater actor active in Boston, currently teaching at New World Opera LLC. With his solid vocal skills and extensive teaching experience, he is dedicated to helping students discover their potential and shape a voice that is both artistic and expressive.
Teddy attended Walnut Hill School for the Arts, a renowned art high school in Massachusetts, and won numerous awards during his student years:
Won the first prize twice and the second prize once in the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Musical Theatre Competition
Peter Elvins won the first place in the opera group competition
During his undergraduate studies, he majored in both Musical Theatre and Vocal Performance at Oklahoma City University, accumulating rich experience in teaching and guidance, including vocal pedagogy, choral coaching, composition, conducting, and assisting in musical rehearsals. He studied under Rebekah Bruce Parker, the Music Director of Broadway. In 2023, he obtained a Master’s degree in Opera Performance from the Boston Conservatory (affiliated with Berklee), and has continued to develop his multi-faceted skills in teaching and on stage. Teddy’s teaching style emphasizes a balance between technique and individuality, highlighting the natural extension of voice and artistic expression, which is highly popular among students. He is also active in the Boston and Metrowest areas, serving as a director and instructor for multiple musicals and vocal exhibitions
